How long have you been CrossFitting? 15 months
What keeps you coming back? Honestly it’s the community. The people at CrossFit Feral are 1 in 1,000,000.
How did you find CrossFit? My younger brother coached CrossFit while he was in college, and I got to workout at his gym a couple of times.
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle and level of fitness? I moved 2,000 miles away from home, where my only experience with fitness was plugging into my headphones and doing bodybuilding style workouts at a globo gym. CrossFit has shown me that there is so much more than just going hand having a good leg day, arm day, chest day, but that you can come in and get an even better workout in a shorter period of time, and make new friends while you are at it.
What is the One Thing you have done here that you never thought you could do? Competing. I watched my brother do it multiple times and convinced myself I would never be able to do it. Now, I’m 2 member mashes, 1 Open, and 1 Central Valley Throwdown completed, and more to come.
Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through CrossFit? Honestly for me the biggest thing I have always had issues with is my body image. I gained around 40 lbs my freshman year of college and have never been comfortable with how I looked since then.
But on a positive side I want to get a bar muscle up.
Any advice for new members? Just try it, and you will EASILY be shocked at how quickly you will fall in love with gym, the people, the workouts, the process, and yourself.
